Sold in sets of 2, the Arsène bar stools bring brown buffalo leather up to island height. With a 65 cm seat height, they fit perfectly at a 90 to 95 cm-high worktop, while the footrest lets you rest your legs. The seat and backrest feature channel stitching, set on a black metal bistro-style base.

Buffalo leather is a natural leather: its pronounced grain can be seen on the surface, in warm shades of brown. Firm at first, it gradually softens and develops a patina over the years. Wipe away spills promptly, and apply a special leather balm once a year to keep it supple.

Our interior design expert’s inspiration: the leather’s brown stands out better against off-white or ecru than pure white, paired with a light oak or beige stone worktop. Add brushed brass handles and taps, plus two rattan pendant lights above the island. Full-grain buffalo leather: the upper layer of the hide, neither sanded nor corrected. The densest and most durable, it retains its original grain.
Firm at first, it softens with use and moulds to the shape of the body.
An earthy, musky smell typical of buffalo, a sign of authenticity: it fades within a few weeks; allow the product to air out.
It develops a patina and darkens slightly; scratches and signs of use are part of the material and do not affect its strength.
To choose the right seat height, bear in mind that the space between the seat and the table should be approximately 25–30 cm.

Dust the leather with a soft, dry cloth or a fine-bristled brush, following the direction of the grain. Clean marks with a barely damp cloth, then dry immediately. Do not use any chemicals, solvents, alcohol or stain removers: buffalo leather is a natural leather that cannot tolerate them. Once or twice a year, apply a shoe polish or special leather balm to nourish it and maintain its suppleness. Avoid direct sunlight and proximity to a heat source, which can dry out the fibers.
For the metal, a damp cloth followed by a dry wipe is sufficient: do not use corrosive products, and dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
