French, American, English and even Russian, there are different types of billiards, rules and ways to play! French billiards is played with 3 balls and it is a matter of touching or caroming with one ball the other two. In American billiards, you play with a white ball and 15 other coloured and numbered balls. In American billiards, you must "push" with the same white ball the other balls into the pockets. The American billiard table has 6 holes. For English billiards, also called 8 Pool and played with 7 yellow balls, 7 red balls, 1 black ball and 1 white ball: the player who first puts balls of the same colour into the 6 pockets and who finishes by putting the black ball also into one of the pockets wins the game. Russian billiards are played on very large tables and are played with 15 balls.
