6-Seater Tables
A 6-person table allows six guests to gather around the same tabletop, for family meals as well as dinners with friends. The dining table has become over the years a central piece of furniture in your living space. Rectangular, oval, round or organic, fixed or extendable, our selection of 6-person dining tables adapts to different room layouts.
What size table should you choose for 6 people?
The dimensions of a 6-person table vary considerably from one model to another. In our selection, the rectangular and oval models advertised for six measure between 150 and 205 cm in length, with a width of 90 to 102 cm. Moorea, the only round model in the collection, measures 140 cm in diameter. A few examples:
| Model | Shape | Tabletop dimensions | Stated capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oman | Rectangular | 150 x 90 cm | 6 people |
| Eddy | Oval | 150 x 90 cm | 6 people |
| Paula | Rectangular | 180 x 90 cm | 6 seats |
| Gia | Rectangular | 190 x 102 cm | 6 seats |
| Alix | Oval | 200 x 100 cm | 6 seats |
| June | Rectangular | 205 x 100 cm | 6 seats |
| Aya | Organic | 140 x 107 cm | 6 people |
| Moorea | Round | D140 cm | 6 people |
These measurements refer to the tabletop alone: allow space for pulled-out chairs and room to move around the table when measuring your room. Chairs with armrests may take up more width than armless models: compare their dimensions, indicated on their product page, with the available length along the tabletop.
What table shape should you choose for 6 people?
The rectangular shape, the most widely represented in this selection, follows the length of a room and leaves space for serving dishes: discover all our rectangular tables. A round model for six, such as Moorea, brings guests face to face and suits a square room; also see our round tables. Oval tables, such as Eddy or Alix, combine length with rounded edges, which are practical when space for passage is narrow. Aya's organic shape, in walnut veneer, creates a freer silhouette. If you sometimes host more guests, compare it with our 8-person tables; for everyday use by two or three people, our 4-person tables take up less space.
How do you choose a 6-person table suited to your interior?
First measure the room, then compare it with the dimensions on each product page, allowing for chairs and passageways. Next, consider how you will use it: for daily meals with six people, a fixed model is always ready to use; if you only seat six occasionally, the extendable Oman in black wood extends from 150 to 180 cm, seating 4 to 6 people. In terms of materials, solid wood predominates, in acacia for June and Gia or mango wood for Maya and Alix. Paula combines solid rubberwood with oak or walnut veneer, Asma combines plywood with walnut or light oak veneer, and Lydia features off-white lacquered MDF. Finally, choose chairs whose seat height matches that of the tabletop, as indicated on the product page, in a style that complements the rest of the room.
