A garden table extends the dining room outdoors: lunch on the terrace, dinner in the garden, coffee on the balcony. The right model depends on the space you have available and the number of people you wish to host. Our selection of outdoor tables ranges from a small folding table for two to a large table for ten guests, made of teak, oiled acacia wood or metal, in round, square or rectangular shapes.

How do you choose a garden table suited to your space?

First measure the available area, then leave enough space around the table to pull out the chairs and move around. Next, consider the number of guests you usually host. On a balcony, a folding table can be put away when not in use: for example, the Yumi folding metal table measures 59.5 x 59 cm for 2 people, and 110 x 70 cm in its 4-person version. To occasionally accommodate more people, an extendable table adapts to the number of guests, such as the Kora teak table, for 6 to 8 people, or the Tunga table, for 6 to 10 people. Round, square or rectangular garden table: which shape should you choose?

The round table, with no corners, is suitable for small spaces and tête-à-têtes, such as the light green round and folding Yumi metal table for 2 people. A square table fits neatly on a balcony: the Siquijor folding table in oiled acacia wood measures 70 x 70 cm for 2 people, while the light green Yumi metal table measures 77 x 77 cm for 4 people. A rectangular table accommodates larger gatherings: the light green Yumi metal table measures 160 x 90 cm for 6 people, and the Siam teak table measures 240 x 100 cm for 10 people. Which material should you choose for a garden table?

Teak is the most widely represented wood in our selection, with the Siam and Luma rectangular tables and the Kora extendable table. Recycled teak, used for the Nonza table, offers another take on the same wood. On a new teak table, the original finish does not protect against greasy stains: see which protection to apply from the very first meals. Oiled acacia wood is used for the Alona extendable table and the Siquijor folding table. Finally, metal makes up the Yumi range, available in light green, butter yellow, taupe and pastel blue, with several folding versions.

How do you care for your garden or outdoor table?

Wood is one of the most demanding materials to maintain. Water and soap may be enough for everyday stains, but a maintenance treatment, chosen according to the type of wood, should also be applied to preserve its colour over time. You can also sand the wood in the direction of the grain to restore your garden table.

Materials such as steel, aluminium and resin are easy to clean. All you need is water and soap. For stone, you will need to add a water-repellent treatment to protect the table from moisture. If you choose a steel table and a chip appears, do not hesitate to apply a rust-inhibiting product to limit its spread.

What should you do with your garden table in winter?

To best preserve your outdoor table, and if you have a garden shed, cellar or garage, we strongly recommend storing the garden table in one of these places. Remember to cover the table with a protective cover, as this prevents moisture and protects it from dust. If you do not have shelter for your table, protect it completely with an outdoor tarpaulin. The same is recommended for all your garden furniture.
