Sold in sets of 2, the Arsène bar stools bring green buffalo leather up to island height. With a 65 cm seat, they fit in front of a 90 to 95 cm-high worktop, while the footrest lets you rest your legs. The seat and backrest feature horizontal ribbing, set on a black metal bistro-style frame.

Buffalo leather is a natural material: its pronounced grain can be seen on the surface, and the green darkens as it develops a patina. Firm at first, it gradually softens; a special leather balm, applied once or twice a year, helps maintain its suppleness.

Our interior design expert's inspiration: deep green calls for lighter tones opposite it, such as a solid oak or beige stone worktop. A matte white backsplash and brushed brass fittings highlight the leather, while two rattan pendant lights warm up the overall look. Full-grain buffalo leather: the top layer of the hide, neither sanded nor corrected. The densest and most durable, it retains its original grain.
Firm at first, it softens with use and moulds to the shape of the body.
An earthy, musky smell typical of buffalo, a guarantee of authenticity: it fades within a few weeks; allow the product to air out.
It develops a patina and darkens slightly; scratches and signs of use are part of the material and do not affect its strength.
To choose the right seat height, bear in mind that the space between the seat and the table should be approximately 25–30 cm.

Dust the leather with a soft, dry cloth or a soft-bristled brush, following the direction of the grain. Clean marks with a barely damp cloth, then dry immediately. Do not use any chemicals, solvents, alcohol or stain removers: buffalo leather is a natural leather that cannot tolerate them. Once or twice a year, apply a leather polish or balm to nourish it and maintain its suppleness. Avoid direct sunlight and proximity to a heat source, which can dry out the fibres.
For the metal, a damp cloth followed by a dry wipe is sufficient: do not use corrosive products, and dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
