Set of 2 khaki green leopard fabric and walnut wood chairs

Sold in sets of 2, the Esmée chairs combine three materials: a seat in khaki green leopard-print fabric, a curved backrest in plywood walnut, and a slender black metal frame. Walnut is one of the most sought-after woods in cabinetmaking: a fine, tight grain, shades ranging from light brown to chocolate brown, and darker veins visible on the surface. Thin layers of wood are pressed into a mould: the backrest is curved in a single piece, with no assembly.

The 45 × 41.5 cm seat is padded with 25 kg/m³ foam, soft and more yielding than firm. At 49 cm from the floor, it is slightly higher than standard height: allow for a table measuring 75 to 78 cm.

Our interior designer's inspiration: it takes a touch of boldness to place khaki green leopard print around a table, and that is what gives the whole room its character. Keep the walnut brown with wood in a similar depth of colour: the solid mango wood of the Maya or Alix table, or the walnut-finish tabletop of the Oman table. There is no need to choose chairs that are all identical either: two khaki green leopard Esmée chairs facing two Esmée chairs in khaki green velvet make for a combination that is both harmonious and bold. Dust the seat weekly using a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment, on a moderate setting. In case of a stain, act quickly: blot with paper towel without rubbing, then dab from the edge toward the centre with a clean cloth soaked in warm, soapy water (Marseille soap). Rinse with a second damp cloth and leave to air-dry, away from any heat source. The seat cover is not removable: do not soak it and do not use solvents or bleach, which could fade the leopard print. Dust the wooden backrest with a soft, slightly damp cloth, without abrasive products.
