Description
The set of 2 Jade chairs gets its retro look from a trio of materials: a curved walnut plywood backrest, a cream-white corduroy seat, and a slender black metal frame. Born in Manchester in the 18th century, corduroy is made by cutting woven threads at the surface, which rise into regular, soft-to-the-touch ribs. The velvet is composed of 92% polyester and 8% nylon, two strong fibres chosen for everyday use: nylon resists rubbing, while polyester retains its colour in the light.
The 48 × 44 cm seat, padded with 22 kg/m³ foam, provides soft cushioning, more plush than firm; the 48 cm seat height pairs well with tables measuring 74 to 78 cm. The curved plywood backrest supports the lower back while leaving the shoulders free.
Our interior expert’s inspiration: around a dark wooden table, cream creates a bright contrast, paired with a jute rug and matt ochre ceramics. In terms of colours, the Jade collection embraces both classic and less classic shades — navy blue, khaki green, mustard yellow and terracotta: enough to use a single colour around the table or combine several. It is also available in a bar-height version for a kitchen island.

If velvet is stained, immediately absorb the excess without rubbing, then dab with a clean cloth soaked in lukewarm water and a little mild soap (such as liquid Marseille soap), working from the outside towards the centre, before wiping with a slightly damp cloth to rinse. Avoid harsh stain removers, alcohol, bleach, excess water and any heat source when drying; leave to air-dry, then gently brush when dry to restore volume to the fibres.
