In case of a stain on chenille velvet, immediately absorb the excess without rubbing, then dab with a clean cloth soaked in lukewarm water and a little mild soap (such as liquid Marseille soap), working from the outside inwards, before wiping with a slightly damp cloth to rinse. Avoid harsh stain removers, alcohol, bleach, excess water, and any source of heat when drying; let it air-dry, then gently brush it while dry to restore volume to the fibres.
