La table d'appoint Maupiti mesure 35 cm de diamètre pour 50 cm de hauteur, en fibre d'argile à l'effet béton, peinte en blanc.
À 50 cm du sol, le plateau arrive à hauteur d'accoudoir : une tasse et un livre restent à portée de main depuis le fauteuil. Au bord d'un lit, la Maupiti tient le rôle d'une table de chevet. Le diamètre de 35 cm lui permet de tenir dans un angle, et la structure supporte jusqu'à 150 kg.
Façonnée à la main, chaque pièce porte ses propres irrégularités : de légères aspérités, parfois de petits trous laissés par l'air qui s'échappe au séchage. La fibre d'argile, une argile minérale renforcée de fibres, pèse bien moins que le béton : la Maupiti suit le fauteuil sans effort. Un vernis protège la surface : sur une tache fraîche, un linge doux à peine humide suffit à la retirer.
L'inspiration de notre expert déco : le blanc minéral appelle des bois clairs et chauds, chêne, teck, tressage naturel, avec de la laine écrue au sol. Le fauteuil Kilka en teck et tressage vannerie réchauffe ce blanc. La Maupiti existe aussi en bleu roi, pour la même silhouette en couleur.
