Set of 2 black faux leather 67 cm counter stools for kitchen islands

The set of 2 Tabata kitchen island chairs combines a black faux leather seat with an ash veneer backrest, mounted on a solid rubberwood frame. Planted in Malaysia for its latex, rubberwood is used in woodworking after around thirty years of tapping. The walnut finish gives it a deep brown tone with distinct grain.

At 67 cm from the floor, the seat is designed for use at a kitchen island or worktop measuring 92 to 97 cm high. Measuring 47 cm wide and 40 cm deep, it is padded with 24 kg/m³ foam, supple and softer than firm. A low, curved backrest supports the lower back, while the lower crossbars serve as footrests, and the frame supports up to 120 kg. On the faux leather, a barely damp sponge and mild soap remove a mark in one simple wipe.

Our interior design expert’s inspiration: walnut and black faux leather belong to the same dark family, with the wood bringing warmth and the upholstery a matte finish. A light stone worktop creates a striking contrast, while brushed brass furniture handles echo the walnut’s warm highlights. Above the island, the black and gold metal Pacha pendant light brings the two together. Wipe the faux leather seat with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a highly diluted mild soap, then dry immediately: do not use alcohol, acetone, or harsh stain removers, as they can cause the coating to crack. For the backrest and walnut-finished wooden legs, a dry microfiber cloth is sufficient; clean marks with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, and proximity to a heat source.
