A round, generously cushioned seat upholstered in warm brown buffalo leather, set on a central black metal pedestal encircled by a footrest: the Lucien bar stool keeps things simple. The leather has a pronounced grain and the irregular nuances of a natural material; it develops a patina and gently darkens over time, while scratches and signs of use become part of its story without compromising its sturdiness.

Firm at first, the buffalo leather softens with use and gradually molds to the shape given to it. With a 65 cm seat height, the stool is designed for a kitchen island or counter measuring 90 to 95 cm; without a backrest, it remains compact and slides under the counter once the meal is over. Sold individually, it lets you create exactly the number of seats you need at the counter. Like all natural leather, it should not be left wet: wipe away any drops promptly and nourish it with a balm once or twice a year.

Our interior design expert's advice: in a bright kitchen beneath an industrial-style glass roof, surround it with light wood shelves and a few green plants. The brown leather adds a warm note that softens the black metal and white walls.

Full-grain buffalo leather: the top layer of the hide, neither sanded nor corrected. The densest and most durable, it retains its original grain.
Firm at first, it softens with use and moulds to the shape of the body.

Dust the leather with a soft, dry cloth or a fine-bristled brush, following the direction of the grain. Clean marks with a barely damp cloth, then dry immediately. Do not use any chemicals, solvents, alcohol or stain removers: buffalo leather is a natural leather that cannot withstand them. Once or twice a year, apply a leather polish or balm to nourish it and maintain its suppleness. Avoid direct sunlight and proximity to a heat source, which can dry out the fibres.
For the metal, a damp cloth followed by a dry wipe is sufficient: do not use corrosive products, and dry it thoroughly to prevent rust.
