C'est son pied qui fait tout le caractère de la lampe Romy : une colonne de bois tourné, galbes et anneaux superposés, laquée orange vif. Le dôme de 30 cm en métal reprend la même laque, et la brillance suit chaque courbe.
Le dôme est fermé sur le dessus. La lumière descend donc sur le meuble et autour, plutôt que dans toute la pièce : un éclairage d'appoint pour le soir. Une douille E27 est logée sous l'abat-jour, à équiper d'une ampoule de 40 watts maximum, à prévoir séparément.
La lampe mesure 55 cm de hauteur : le format d'une console, d'une table d'appoint ou d'un chevet. Le câble mesure 2 m, de quoi rejoindre une prise un peu éloignée.
L'inspiration de notre expert déco : posez-la sur une commode en bois clair ou sur une pile de livres d'art, près d'un vase en grès écru — l'orange laqué apporte la seule note vive au milieu des tons neutres. Le lampadaire de la collection Romy reprend la même colonne, en 135 cm.
