C'est son pied qui fait tout le caractère de la lampe Romy : une colonne de bois tourné, galbes et anneaux superposés, laquée bleu foncé. Le dôme de 30 cm en métal reprend la même laque, et la brillance suit chaque courbe.
Avec ses 55 cm de hauteur, la lampe se place sur une console, une table d'appoint ou un chevet. Le dôme en métal reste fermé sur le dessus : la lumière part vers le bas, sur le meuble et autour, plutôt que dans toute la pièce. Une douille E27 est logée sous l'abat-jour, à équiper d'une ampoule de 40 watts maximum, à prévoir séparément. Le câble mesure 2 m, de quoi rejoindre une prise un peu éloignée.
L'inspiration de notre expert déco : posez-la sur une commode en bois clair ou sur une pile de livres d'art, près d'un vase en grès — le bleu foncé laqué crée un contraste net avec les tons naturels. Le lampadaire de la collection Romy reprend la même colonne, en 135 cm.
