Extendable dark wood oval table for 6–8 people, 170/200 cm

A 170 cm oval extending to 200 cm: the Eddy table seats six guests every day, and eight once the extension leaf is in place. The oval offers the length of a rectangular table and the softness of a round tabletop, leaving plenty of room to move around it.

The tabletop is walnut-veneered, a brown wood with deep tones, marked by broad flames that follow the length of the oval. Veneer is a thin sheet of genuine walnut applied to a stable panel: the wood grain is visible on a surface that stays perfectly straight over time. Measuring 90 cm wide and 1.8 cm thick, the tabletop rests on four tapered legs made of solid rubberwood stained walnut, 75 cm from the floor, and supports up to 150 kg.

Our interior design expert’s inspiration: walnut is a warm, deep brown, with shades ranging from dark honey to cocoa depending on the grain’s flames. The brown buffalo leather of the Arsène chairs shares this depth, with a matte, textured finish contrasting with the wood’s satin sheen. The same Arsène chair in green leather adds a cool contrast. In the Eddy collection, we also offer the 130 cm light wood oval table for four, the 150 cm version for six, a 150 cm black wood model, and the 170/200 cm extending version in both light and black wood.

Color note: the actual shade may vary slightly depending on screen settings, photo lighting, and the natural variations of the materials.

Dust the tabletop with a dry microfibre cloth, following the grain. Clean marks with a barely damp cloth and mild soap, then dry immediately to prevent watermarks and veneer swelling. Avoid solvents, alcohol, abrasive products and wax. Use trivets and coasters: heat and moisture can mark the nitrocellulose finish. Operate the extension mechanism with two people, without forcing it, to avoid misaligning the runners.
