Description
With its rounded corners, compartments of varying sizes, and arch- and crescent-shaped cut-outs, the asymmetrical design of the Ilona bookcase, inspired by Art Deco, makes it as graphic as it is practical. It is made in India from mango wood, with a walnut finish.
Mango is one of the oldest fruit trees cultivated in South Asia. Its wood is hard, with a highly visible grain. The walnut finish gives it a deep, almost chocolate-brown colour that allows the grain to show through.
Standing 180 cm high, 100 cm wide and 35 cm deep, it sits against a wall without taking over the room. Open at the back, it can also divide two spaces while allowing light through. The five shelves create compartments for books, ceramics or a trailing plant.
Our interior designer's inspiration: place two lamps in the compartments to bring in light and vary the colours. The Clara lamp in chrome-finish metal adds a silvery reflection against the walnut brown, while the same lamp in orange metal adds a bright, warm touch.
Material note: natural wood; the grain and colour may vary from one piece to another.
Color note: the actual shade may vary slightly depending on screen settings, photo lighting, and the natural variations of the materials.

Care instructions
Care instructions
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. In case of a stain, wipe immediately with a slightly damp cloth, then dry at once.
Treat the wood twice a year with a suitable oil.
Avoid direct sunlight and proximity to a heat source, as these may discolour or crack the wood.
